If you own a HP Designjet 500810800 printer, there is an issue with new printheads.

You can try to wipe the bottom of the contacts with a damp paper towel and shake vigorously. It may revive ink flow in the reservoir of the print head.

I have been supporting this series designjet since it’s introduction back in the spring of 1998. It is HP’s best selling designjet of all time. Regretfully, time rolls on and HP stopped supporting it three years ago.

As the model reaches the end of its lifecycle, print heads have exclusively been manufactured and sourced from unknown Chinese sources.
